Alice specialises in tax planning for non-domiciliaries and for clients moving to or from the UK or requiring advice on international and cross-border matters. She deals with all forms of capital gains tax planning and the establishment and management of all types of onshore and offshore trusts. Her client base consists largely of entrepreneurs and other business men, private equity managers, city executives and shareholders of private or family owned companies.
Alice also advises on wills and estate planning, particularly for entrepreneurs and foreign nationals. In addition she gives legal and fiscal advice to charities.
Alice is half Danish and has a sizeable pan-Scandinavian client base. She is a member of the Danish-UK and Norwegian-British Chambers of Commerce and is part of the firm's Scandinavian team.
She is a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). In April 2013 Alice was elected on to the Steering Committee of the STEP Cross-Border Estates Special Interest Group. She has an MA from Oxford University.
Chambers & Partners UK directory cites Alice as being "very able and charming" and "really excellent at finding the best solutions". The directory publishes an observer's comment that says "she has a unique ability to communicate with clients, perceive their needs and come up with creative suggestions as to how to achieve their objectives". Alice is also recommended in Chambers & Partners Global directory which recognises that she has a significant Scandinavian client base and writes that she is "incredibly impressive and already enormously experienced". She featured in Legal Week's International Trusts & Private Client elite 2012 edition and has been recognised in The International Who's Who of Private Client Lawyers for 2013 and the current 2014 publication.
