The Marsden March 2017
Samantha Bridgewater is taking part in The Marsden March together with a group of school mums from her daughter’s school. They are "The Barrow Hatters" and will walk the 14 mile course from the Chelsea site to the Sutton site on Sunday 19 March to help raise funds for The Royal Marsden so the hospital can help continue the care for those affected by cancer.
The Marsden is close to Samantha's heart as her mother, Diane, has been under the hospital's care since her diagnosis in 2011. Diane's journey has been gruelling through all manner of treatments and setbacks along the way but the medical care coupled with kindness shown to her has been second to none. Although treatment is now limited, Diane’s care continues under The Marsden.
So as a Barrow Hatter, Samantha will walk the course to raise funds for The Royal Marsden. Every pound donated goes to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity which will help provide the best diagnosis, treatment and care for those who have and are affected by cancer.
