London Marathon 2014: Skin Cancer Research Fund
Nick Manners ran the 2014 London Marathon for the very first time and completed the course in a very respectable 4 hours and 11 minutes. To date Nick has raised £2,159.01 for the Skin Cancer Research Fund and we congratulate him on such a great achievement.
Nick was lucky enough to get into the race via the general ballot and had the added bonus of choosing a charity of his choice to support. Nick's chosen charity is one that is close to his heart, the Skin Cancer Research Fund, a small charity which raises money for research into a particularly vicious form of cancer, malignant melanoma, which sadly accounted for his father some five years ago. Whilst their work is on a significantly smaller scale to some of the larger national cancer charities, their funds have helped treat many victims of skin cancer over the last 30 years.
