John Pink and Stuart Bithell
Well hasn't the last few years since the London Olympics disappeared quick! It's only a little over 3 months till the test event for Rio 2016 and the heat of Qualifying for the Olympics is really turning up now. Stuart and I have come a long way from where we started just 18 months ago, It has been a steep learning curve for Stu jumping into the bow again, and for us as a team, but we couldn't be in a better place from where we started. After chatting over the last few events we know we haven't put a whole series together, but showed some medal winning spells of how good we can be. We know that everything is in place and when we put a whole series together we will be there in amongst some of the greatest 49er sailors of our generation. In the next few weeks leading up to Sailing World Cup Weymouth we are adding the finishing touches to kit selection, and making sure our racing skills and boat handling are sharper than ever before. In our sport its important to be super organised with all our kit so we don't fall over before we start and can focus on racing, enjoy the moment and opportunity. If we execute the plan set out, we will be poised ready to challenge the guy's on the other side of the world in Rio this summer.
