Rebecca Cockcroft

Rebecca’s practice covers all aspects of private family law. She has over 20 years of experience as a family lawyer, specialising in financial remedy proceedings, arrangements for children (including international relocation) and financial provision for unmarried parents and cohabitees. Rebecca has specialist skills in cases involving addictions and coercive control and is adept at navigating sensitive matters involving the Local Authority and the Police. She also has experience of running complex litigation in The Business and Property Courts involving conduct, dishonesty and fraud between a husband and wife. Rebecca leads a strong team, renowned for delivering the highest level of service, with astute financial acumen and exceptional levels of support.

Rebecca is collaborative in her approach, but a skilled litigator when necessary. She tends to settle most cases outside of court to protect client privacy and confidentiality, increasingly using the forums of private FDRs and Arbitration to achieve this. This enables litigation to be resolved in a timely and more cost effective way, which is in the best interests of the family.
