Matthew Spring

Matthew read law at King's College London, from where he was awarded Bachelors and Masters degrees. He trained with the firm and qualified in 2000.

With a breadth of experience in general civil litigation, Matthew specialises in resolving all types of property dispute. He acts for a range of corporate and individual clients handling real estate matters (such as rights of way or rights of light concerning development), and dealing with landlord and tenant/property management issues in both commercial and residential sectors (from industrial estates to residential flats).

He has a notable niche practice in leasehold enfranchisement and has represented both landlords and tenants in several cases before the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal involving service charge disputes.

He advises individuals and companies on insolvency issues, as well as having experience in acting for Administrators, LPA Receivers and Trustees in Bankruptcy. His work also includes asset recovery in the context of trust litigation and contentious probate matters.

Matthew is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
