Richard obtained a law degree from Leicester University and qualified in 1985. Richard was previously a partner with Pitmans and joined Payne Hicks Beach in 1998 as a partner.

Richard specialises in acquisitions, disposals and lettings for both office and retail. He also advises on secured lending, including advice to various foreign banks. His commercial development practice includes advice to developers on all property issues relating to the acquisition of land for development, development finance (by forward funding or venture arrangements), construction issues and lettings. His practical knowledge of development schemes has proved to be invaluable.
