Theresa qualified in 1973. Theresa was previously a partner with Withers and joined Payne Hicks Beach in 1996 as a partner.

Theresa specialises in acquisitions and disposals of commercial and residential freehold and leasehold property, and lending on the security of properties, also negotiating commercial office and retail leases, and Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 matters. She has lectured to the IBA on the environmental aspects of property transactions and groundwater contamination and she has also given lectures on collateral warranties and commercial leases.

She deals with acquisitions under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1987 and collective enfranchisements under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 as amended by the recent Commonhold Act 2002.
