Payne Hicks Beach grows partnership with key Family promotion

Leading London law firm, Payne Hicks Beach, is pleased to announce that Nick Manners has been made up to Partner in its renowned Family department, with effect from 1 December 2020.

After joining the Family department on qualification in 2010, having completed his training contract with the firm, Nick has rapidly progressed to Partner. Nick advises on all areas of family law, both contentious and non-contentious, particularly in relation to high value cases, and those with a complex international aspect.  He has extensive expertise in issues arising from cohabitation, divorce and the financial consequences of relationship breakdown. Nick was part of the team that was successful in securing the award of over £453m to a wife in financial remedy proceedings in AAZ v BBZ [2016].

Nick was also part of the team acting in one of the leading cases in client privacy in the family court, Appleton & Gallagher v News Group Newspapers and PA.

Nick’s instructions often involve work on children disputes. He regularly advises on contact and residence and relocation issues, with one of his most notable cases being Ciccone v Ritchie [2016] where he was a key member of the legal team acting for the Applicant mother.

He is recognised by The Legal 500 UK as a “very smart and measured individual, who brings great strength to the cases he works on.” Nick is also an accredited member of Resolution.

Nick Manners, Partner at Payne Hicks Beach, comments:

“Having worked at Payne Hicks Beach throughout my career, I am delighted to be joining the partnership. I look forward to continuing to work alongside my esteemed colleagues to build on the firm’s already stellar family offering.”
