Payne Hicks Beach appoints specialist barrister in Dispute Resolution department
Leading central London law firm, Payne Hicks Beach, is pleased to announce the appointment of Edward Smith as an Employed Barrister within the Dispute Resolution Department. Edward joins the firm from Grosvenor Law, where he was an Associate, and his appointment is effective from 8 January 2019.
Edward has particular expertise in commercial litigation, data protection, media and communications law. As a pupil barrister at leading media set 5RB, Edward was engaged in some of the most significant recent cases in the media law landscape – including Munroe v Hopkins and Sir Cliff Richard OBE v BBC & South Yorkshire Police and has since acted in connection with a range of fraud, shareholder and other commercial disputes. Edward was called to the Bar in 2015.
Within the firm’s leading Dispute Resolution Department, Edward will be working closely with Lucas Moore, Dominic Crossley and Hanna Basha, leading practitioners in their fields of expertise.
