Payne Hicks Beach further strengthens its Landed Estates and Agriculture Team
Leading central London law firm, Payne Hicks Beach, is pleased to announce the further expansion of its Landed Estates and Agriculture Team with the appointment of Venetia Taylor. Venetia joins the firm from Forsters LLP on 23 April 2019; her appointment follows that of Partner Simon Blackburn, who joined the team from Macfarlanes LLP in November 2018.
Venetia’s practice is focused on agriculture, landed estates and high value country houses; she has considerable experience of advising on a range of matters from the transacting large tracts of rural land, through the management and letting of sporting rights to renewable energy projects. Alongside her practice, Venetia is a member of the Institute of Art and Law, having previously worked at Sotheby’s for over five years before training as a lawyer.
Venetia will work with Payne Hicks Beach’s partner-led Landed Estates and Agriculture Team, together with the Property and Private Client Departments, to provide a seamless service to landowners and their families. The Team specialises in providing comprehensive advice on succession and the structuring of property ownership to clients.
Simon Blackburn, responsible for the agriculture and estates team at Payne Hicks Beach, says of the appointment:
“I am delighted that Venetia Taylor has chosen to join our team and would like to welcome her to Payne Hicks Beach. She will be a valuable member of the Landed Estates and Agriculture Team as we continue to grow our offering in this key area for clients.”
