Payne Hicks Beach supports “Becoming a Dementia Friend”
On 6 May 2015 Payne Hicks Beach welcomed Dr Nori Graham, Vice President and former Chairman of the Alzheimer's Society, when she kindly attended to give a Dementia Friends talk to the firm. As the event was so well subscribed, Dr Graham hosted two consecutive sessions for PHB staff members. Dr Graham is a Dementia Friends Champion who volunteers to talk to people about being a Dementia Friend and her Dementia Friends Information Sessions today helped us to understand a little more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turn that understanding into action.
Dementia Friends is a national initiative that is being led by the Alzheimer's Society. It aims to improve people's understanding of dementia and its effects. The programme aims to create Dementia Friends who all commit to actions which will help people to live well with dementia.
