Pennington Manches team joins the Payne Hicks Beach Family department

Leading Central London law firm Payne Hicks Beach is pleased to announce another significant hire to its highly respected Family department. Catherine Costley joins the firm from Pennington Manches as an Associate. Catherine will work closely with leading family lawyer Rebecca Cockcroft who joined the firm from Pennington Manches as a Consultant in May.

Catherine's practice encompasses all aspects of private family law. She has particular expertise in high value financial remedy cases and private children law issues including contact disputes and leave to remove applications. The majority of her work has an international element.

Rebecca and Catherine have a reputation as a formidable team. A recent case in which they discharged an ex parte injunction and established proper process and parameters for such applications has just been reported in the Law Reports.

Rebecca and Catherine commented:

"We are proud to have joined a firm with such a stellar reputation within and outside the legal community. We feel privileged to be part of a team which rewrote family law with the ground breaking case of White v White in 2000 and is continuing to push the boundaries. We have joined a talented team of largely home grown solicitors and associates as well as partners who are leaders in our field and we both look forward to a long and happy future with them."

Peter Black, Managing Partner, commented:

"We are thrilled that Rebecca Cockcroft and Catherine Costley have joined the firm. Their arrival strengthens an already renowned department. Payne Hicks Beach has an internationally recognised Family team and we are extremely proud of the work that is being carried out by the department as we continue to grow. Excellence for our clients is at the core of everything we do."
