A paralegal in the Family department, Davena assists across a variety of matters involving financial remedies and children matters, frequently with an international element.
Davena has extensive and varied experience working as a mini pupil and paralegal in different areas of legal practice including crime, employment and family law.
Davena studied law as her undergraduate degree at the University of Westminster. Davena then went on to complete the Bar vocational course at BPP Law School in 2008 and was called to the bar in the same year. Davena is a member of Middle Temple and a Jules Thorn scholar. She joined Payne Hicks Beach in October 2018.
In addition to employment Davena has undertaken a number of voluntary roles including a position with the Independent Jamaican Council for Human Rights, with the Citizens Advice Bureau and as a voluntary advisor at the Damilola Taylor Youth Centre.
