Edward is an Employed Barrister in the Dispute Resolution department. He has experience in a wide range of commercial disputes and across all stages of the litigation process having assisted with numerous high profile claims in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Edward was previously a pupil barrister at the leading media law set 5RB, and specialises in privacy, data protection and defamation law. He can provide assistance for both Claimants and Defendants in media law and communications law, including pre-publication advice.

Before his legal training Edward was the Co-ordinator of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Extraordinary Rendition and an adviser to Andrew Tyrie MP. He co-ordinated the Group's Freedom of Information litigation in the UK and US and provided advice on national security issues.

Edward completed his GDL and BPTC at BPP Law School. He has an MA in War Studies from Kings College London and a BA (Hons) degree in History and Art History from the University of Nottingham.

Called to the bar in 2015, joined Payne Hicks Beach in January 2019.
