Mary is an Associate in the property litigation section of the Dispute Resolution Department. She trained and qualified in the City, and her arrival at the firm marks a return to full-time private practice after 8 years elsewhere in the legal industry.
Mary has an enthusiastic interest in all property-related matters, with experience in landlord and tenant work, including residential possession proceedings, commercial 1954 Act lease renewals, and the service of notices. She advises on party walls and covenant issues.
Mary has a particular interest in historic properties, and resolving the legal issues that surround them. Her forte is the provision of pragmatic client advice whilst applying the law to best effect so as to meet client goals.
Mary graduated in European Social and Political Studies, with German, at University College London. She is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
Qualified in 2014, joined Payne Hicks Beach in September 2024.
