The Firm

The firm provides specialist legal services to private and commercial clients. The Accounts Team
Working with a team of nine including three Cashiers, Revenue Controllers and Management Team all reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
In addition to the use of Word and Excel, our accounts and document management system is SOS. Full training will be given to the right candidate.
The Role
This role would be reporting to the Head Cashier and would suit an individual with good level Legal Accounts experience of minimum of two years.
Responsibilities of Cashier’s include-
- Processing Client receipts and payments
- Processing Office receipts and payments
- Processing Client to Office transfers
- Processing and paying Counsel and Professional Fees
- Posting of Land Registry, Court fees, Companies House online portal invoices.
- Processing outward CHAPS and faster payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing Purchase Ledger invoices
- Processing Employee Expenses and Credit Cards
- Dealing with client residual balances
The Individual
Will have:
- Good level of education – GCSE level education (including Maths and English Language).
- Knowledge of SRA rules and regulations.
- Some legal cashiering experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good IT skills: – Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook (experience desirable but not essential).
- Good organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels and to ask for help when needed.
- A team player.
- Helpful and willing, with a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to take on responsibility.
- Courteous and efficient.
- Professional and conscientious, taking a pride in doing the job well.
