  • What is happening on 25 July?
  • What are the recommended safety measures?
  • How would age verification work?
  • What does that mean in practice?
  • How accurate is facial age verification?
  • What other methods are there?
  • Will every site carrying pornography carry out the age checks?
  • How will the child protection measures be enforced?

Defence and Investigations expert Mark Jones, Partner at Payne Hicks Beach, contributed to the article, reflecting on the recommended safety measure. Mark added,  “Ultimately it is going to be for Ofcom to decide whether these measures meet the requirements under the OSA [Online Safety Act] and, if not, to hold the companies to account.”
