Blake is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration (COFA)
His role oversees all financial day to day management of the Finance team and wider firm, as well as driving strategic financial planning, and improving working capital.
In his capacity as a member of the firm’s Management Board, he advises on all financial aspects, and works closely with Partners and their teams to develop and implement strategies to decrease lockup, ensure adequate returns on all investments, and modernise our digital platform to drive both cost savings and process efficiencies. In doing so, ensuring the continued growth and ongoing success of the firm.
Prior to joining the firm in August 2024, Blake had 12 years’ experience in the UK Legal sector, since arriving from Australia in 2012. He has worked across multiple legal firms, mostly recently Schillings [for 7 years from June 2017], offering multidisciplinary services to a wide range of international clients. He has a wealth of experience in digital transformation, as well as managing people, and firmwide culture projects. He firmly believes investing wisely in both technology and people, will produce better long term financial results, and career development for all involved. He strives to ensure particularly that ‘Finance’ is not seen as just a support function, but a key business partner to strategic and operational decision making at the highest level.
