Karen is an Associate in the Corporate department.
Karen advises clients on a broad range of corporate finance matters, with a particular focus on sales and acquisitions. Her experience also includes private equity investments, group reorganisations, company buybacks, shareholder arrangements, and general company law, working with clients across diverse sectors.
Karen works with colleagues in other departments – employment, property, private client and family.
Examples of experience include advising:
- on the acquisition of a UK-based consulting firm by an international consultancy. This transaction expanded the acquiring firm’s presence and capabilities in the UK market.
- a private equity investor, part of a major banking group, on their minority investments in a credit risk technology company and a tech-enabled legal services company.
- on the acquisition of an estate agency chain in Hampshire and Surrey.
- on the sale of a specialised underwriting platform.
- on the sale of a global employer services provider.
Karen joined Payne Hicks Beach in January 2025, having worked in international and regional firms since qualifying in 2018.
