Tread carefully around employees with long Covid – George Clough for D&I Leaders magazine

Businesses and employers must tread carefully when it comes to employees with long Covid, in light of the Burke v Turning Point Scotland judgment, warns George Clough in D&I Leaders magazine. His comments feature in an article titled “Long Covid: Should we treat this as a disability?”, linked below with kind permission.

He says: “Employers should bear in mind that dismissing employees for incapacity after having been off sick, in light of the Burke v Turning Point Scotland case, will potentially now be discriminatory and result in uncapped damages in an employment tribunal.”
