Reporting that Payne Hicks Beach has a made a strong white-collar crime appointment, with the hire of Paul as a partner from Simmons & Simmons the coverage recognises that in addition to a 15-year history of advising on complex financial services disputes, fraud and other white collar crime matters, Paul brings an international depth to our practice having operated across London, Hong Kong and New Zealand.

Paul has particular expertise advising on cybersecurity related fraud and financial crime issues, with a focus on instructions from asset managers, private banks, growth-phase financial institutions and clients which interact with the financial markets more broadly. His appointment closely follows that of Georgina Bayley who also joined the Dispute Resolution department as a Partner earlier this year. As the newest addition to the firm’s top ranked Dispute Resolution department, Paul joins a highly regarded team of specialist lawyers, who are recognised across the industry as one of the best Dispute Resolution teams in the UK.

In addition to Paul’s appointment, sources picked up on Isobel Symonds promotion and the firm’s retention of all three of its trainees qualifying in September 2021: Verity Sherwin who joined the private client department, George Clough the employment practice and Evelyn Collins the family department.
