
Ross is a Senior Associate (Barrister) in the employment team, specialising in employment law.
He is particularly experienced in contentious employment matters and has frequently represented both employees and employers, as advocate, in the Employment Tribunal. His trial experience covers repudiatory breach, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing, and costs. He has represented employees at the Employment Appeal Tribunal on multiple occasions. He is also experienced in handling case management issues before High Court Masters.
Ross has been a board member of charities and schools since 2013. As such, he is experienced in the practicalities of managing sensitive employment relationships. He is available for instruction to investigate internal grievances and disciplinaries as well as advising on procedure.
He is a contributing editor to Harvey’s (on data protection and privacy) and to Tolley’s (on human rights law).
Ross is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association, the Employment Law Bar Association, and the Industrial Law Society.
Ross was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2013, completed pupillage in 2014, and practised as an employment lawyer at the independent Bar in London before joining Payne Hicks Beach in 2025.
