Overview
Verity is a Senior Associate in the Private Client team. She advises a broad range of UK and international clients, including individuals, entrepreneurs, trustees, family offices and charities. Verity specialises in UK and international tax, trust and succession planning. Her practice includes advising internationally mobile clients on the UK tax and residence implications of relocation, long-term structuring, tax efficient estate and succession planning and the creation and management of trusts. Verity is known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach and works closely with the firm’s Family, Contentious Trusts & Estates, Corporate, Probate and Property teams to deliver tailored advice on complex private wealth matters.

Qualifications & Accreditations
Verity joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2019, qualified as a solicitor in 2021 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2025.
She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having achieved a distinction in the STEP Diploma. She was awarded Advanced Certificates in the Taxation of Trusts and Estates, the Administration of Estates, the Administration of Trusts and UK Tax for International Clients.
In 2025, she won a STEP Excellence Award as the highest-scoring student in the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates (England & Wales).
Before training to become a solicitor, Verity read Classics at Jesus College, Oxford and postgraduate African Studies at SOAS, University of London.
