Francesca Sargent

Her practice focuses on reputation management, media and privacy issues, and commercial litigation.

Recognised by The Legal 500 UK 2026 as a ‘Recommended Key Lawyer’ for Reputation Management, Francesca advises clients on pre‑publication and post-publication matters and ongoing litigation, including in relation to the misuse of private information and publication of defamatory material.

Francesca also has substantial litigation experience, acting in a breach of contract claim that went to trial in the Chancery Division in November 2025 and an APP fraud claim for unjust enrichment listed for trial in the King’s Bench Division in February 2026. She also has recent experience advising on claims relating to breach of confidence and harassment.

Francesca was recently appointed as Co‑Chair for the Committee of the Next Generation Media Lawyers Association, a professional association and networking group for media law practitioners.

She graduated from the University of Bristol with a first‑class law degree, joined the firm as a trainee in 2021, and qualified as a solicitor in 2023.
