Employment Department Senior Associate 6-9 Years PQE

Due to continued growth the firm is looking to recruit an additional solicitor to join its highly rated Employment Department. The successful candidate is likely to have 6-9 years PQE in employment law, have the ability to work with minimal supervision and also experienced in supervising junior staff.

The Team

The Employment Department currently consists of 3 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 1 Senior Associate, 5 Associates, 1 Legal Assistant as well as other support staff.

The Role

The role will be focused on advising on a wide range of employment issues, and undertaking a variety of contentious and non-contentious work including:

  • Acting as a lead advisor on complex contentious and non-contentious matters, bridging the gap between associates and partners
  • Draft executive contracts, company policies, and providing strategic advice on reorganisations, redundancies, and corporate transactions.
  • Manage high-value tribunal litigation,
  • Advise senior executives or corporate clients on strategic HR issues,
  • Delegate to, mentor and supervise junior associates and trainees to ensure high-quality output
  • M&A transactional work, due diligence and corporate support;
  • Tribunal / Court work

The Individual

  • Have 6-9 years’ PQE in employment law.
  • Have a small client following
  • Possess both contentious and non-contentious experience and ideally will have acted for both employers and senior employees.
  • Have strong academics
  • Possess high quality training and experience
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new opportunities and networking
  • Will be ambitious, technically strong, hard working, and a good team player.
  • Will be confident and sociable as well as discrete when dealing directly with clients.
