Isobel Symonds is a Legal Director in the Corporate team, advising entrepreneurs, private companies, family businesses and family offices on a wide range of corporate transactions.
She specialises in mergers and acquisitions, business reorganisations, shareholder arrangements and succession planning, helping clients navigate key stages in the business lifecycle.

Work Highlights
- Acted for the shareholders of Syntec Holdings Limited, a leading provider of secure payment solutions (under the brand CardEasy), on the sale of the company to AIM-listed Eckoh plc, the global provider of secure payment products and customer contact solutions, for a total purchase price of £31 million.
- Advised FairfieldNodal, a global leader in seismic nodal technology, on its acquisition of the business and assets of WGP Group Ltd and its subsidiaries from Thalassa Holdings Ltd (a British Virgin Islands AIM listed company) for a maximum cash consideration of USD $30 million.
- Advised on the sale of the entire issued share capital of DNAFit Life Sciences Limited and its subsidiaries to Prenetics Limited (a Hong Kong company) for US$10 million.
- Advised the management team of The Club Company, the UK’s leading country club operator, on the exercise of their share options and the sale of their resulting shares in The Club Company to private equity firm, Epiris, and on the re-investment of part of their sale proceeds into the acquiring group.
- Advised Fairfield Industries Incorporated, trading as Fairfield Geotechnologies, on the sale of its UK subsidiary WGP Group Ltd to Magseis ASA, a Norwegian listed company.
- Acted for Bonnier Books UK Group Holdings Limited on its investment in a new start up publisher, Footnote Press, alongside founders Vidisha Biswas and Sujoy Roy.
- Acted for Pineapple Dance Studios, the iconic dance studio in Covent Garden founded and run by Debbie Moore OBE, on the opening of its first branch outside of London in Dubai.
Qualifications & Accreditations
Isobel holds a First-Class History degree from University College London and initially trained as a Secondary School History Teacher at Oxford University. She joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2015 and qualified into the Corporate team in 2017. She was promoted to Legal Director in 2024.
