Amelia Mercer

Amelia works across a wide range of non-contentious and contentious immigration and citizenship matters, including complex British citizenship and discretionary human rights-based UK immigration applications.

Amelia also works on family, and work visas (from entry clearance to settlement applications) as well as UK visit visas and applications for naturalisation and registration as a British citizen.

Amelia joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2023 and qualified as a solicitor in 2025.

Prior to joining Payne Hicks Beach Amelia graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Religion Philosophy and Ethics, before undertaking an LLM in Legal Practice alongside her Solicitors Qualifying Exams at the University of Law.
