Lucas Moore is a London-based Partner and Chair of the Management Board, with more than 20 years’ experience advising high-net-worth individuals, family offices, corporates and financial institutions in connection with complex international disputes. He specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, with particular expertise in fraud, shareholder/partnership disputes, international trade, contentious insolvency and reputation-sensitive matters with the benefit of the firm’s conflict free profile.   • Advised an ultra-high-net-worth individual in international committal and conspiracy proceedings.
  • Acted for BES Finance Limited (in liquidation) in connection with the resolution of Banco Espírito Santo by the Bank of Portugal.
  • Represented the liquidators of Weavering Capital (UK) Limited in fraud proceedings.
  • Advised Satyam in substantial fraud claims brought in England and the United States.
  • Represented expropriated bondholders following the Dutch government’s nationalisation and bail-in of SNS Reaal NV and SNS Bank NV.
  • Advised two overseas banks in complex financial mis-selling litigation.
  • Acted for a private equity group in claims against former lenders.

Qualifications & Accreditations

Lucas qualified as a solicitor in 2004. Prior to joining Payne Hicks Beach in July 2018, he was an associate and partner at Jones Day, where he developed extensive experience in international litigation and arbitration. He currently serves as Chair of the Management Board and is recognised as a leading practitioner in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
