Sean Knight

Sean has extensive experience acting in contentious trusts and estates matters and has advised in relation to a wide range of such disputes, including the validity of Wills, in the context of testamentary capacity and undue influence, removal of executors and trustees, constructive and resulting trusts, the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants Act) 1975 and Court of Protection proceedings. Sean also has experience of charity disputes (including reported proceedings Bisrat v Kebede [2020] EWHC 1493 (Ch) and Bisrat v Kebede [2021] EWHC 1657 (Ch)) and commercial disputes.

Sean is recommended in Legal 500 UK 2025 and is described as “a rising young star”.

Sean is a member of The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and ConTrA.

Qualified in 2018, joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2022.
