BBC latest: Starmer asked if Trump will get ‘single penny’ from licence fee payers – Dominic Crossley for Sky News.

Media and Privacy law expert Dominic Crossley, Partner at Payne Hicks Beach, commented on Sky News about Donald Trump’s $1bn threat to sue the BBC over a January 6 speech.

Dominic Crossley comments: 

BBC’s lawyers would be “scrambling” to consider the potential fallout in the UK and US. If Trump brings the claim in the US, he would “have to overcome the requirement of proving malice/recklessness, which is a huge challenge”.
