High Net Worth Immigration Solicitors
The UK is consistently chosen by high net worth individuals and their families for its appeal as a global commercial hub, with a thriving property market, advantageous tax regime and unrivalled education system.
Considering relocating to the UK?
Our Citizenship and Immigration department provide immigration advice to High Net Worth Individuals applying to relocate to the UK.
Options that may be appropriate are the Global Talent, Skilled Worker and Innovator Founder categories. The UK does not currently offer an Investor scheme, following the closure of the Tier 1 (Investor) route in 2022.
We will work with you to determine the most suitable immigration category for your needs and long term strategy.
Global Talent
The Global Talent category is for world leaders and potential world leaders in their field, including musicians, fashion designers, artists, actors, scientists, architects and engineers.
This category is highly attractive and allows a successful applicant to come to the UK to work in their industry without any financial investment, English language requirement or obtaining sponsorship by an employer. It also offers a faster route to Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK for the main applicant, after 3 years in the UK.
To apply for a Global Talent visa, you must first be recognised as an ‘exceptional talent’ in your field, by applying and obtaining an endorsement from a designated competent body which include the Arts Council, Tech Nation and the British Academy.
This category is often overlooked but it can be highly advantageous for those that can satisfy the criteria and our immigration department has an established track record of successful applications.
Innovator Founder
The Innovator Founder visa enables entrepreneurs with an innovative business idea to build their business in the UK.
The applicant must have a new business idea and submit their business plan for endorsement to one of three Endorsing Bodies. It will be assessed to confirm it meets the key criteria of being viable, innovative and scalable.
The category allows the main applicant to apply for settlement after 3 years, subject to meeting strict criteria on the development of the endorsed business idea.
We regularly advise clients with Innovator Founder applications, including assisting with applications for endorsement and applying for Innovator Founder visas, as well as extension applications and settlement applications.
Skilled Worker
The more traditional ‘work visa’ requires the HNW individual to be sponsored by a UK company or organisation that has registered with the Home Office for a sponsor licence.
We regularly assist HNW individuals on sponsorship options, managing visa applications for Skilled Workers as well as in obtaining a sponsor licence and advising on compliance requirements to maintain the licence.
