OUR REPORTED CASES

MARKING 25 YEARS SINCE A LANDMARK LEGAL DECISION

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the case of White v White, the landmark financial remedies case successfully argued before the House of Lords by our team at Payne Hicks Beach. The House of Lords’ seminal judgment in this case fundamentally reshaped the legal framework for the division of financial assets on divorce. Widely regarded as the most influential family law decision in a generation, White v White continues to serve as a cornerstone for both legal practitioners and clients navigating complex financial remedy proceedings.

Since the decision in White v White, Payne Hicks Beach have had the privilege of working with client’s at the cutting edge of family law and have been involved in a number of important decisions. We have appeared in all courts at all levels representing our client’s interests including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. The cases that we have been involved in have changed the face of family law including decisions in relation to the grounds for divorce, Pre-Nuptial Agreements and Part III applications (financial provision following an overseas divorce).
